Bayern Munich coach , Josep Guardiola remains confident Manchester City will qualify for the Champions League round of 16 of his team despite losing 1-3 .
Early this morning , Bayern won a convincing victory at the Etihad Stadium thanks to goals scored by Franck Ribery , Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben . While the City can only reply once to a goal by Alvaro Negredo ahead of the game ended .
These results led Bayern to the top of Group D with a score of 6 points , followed by City and CSKA Moscow with 3 points . After the victory at the Etihad , Guardiola remains confident if City are still a big chance to qualify from the group stage .
" I told the ( City will qualify for the last 16 ) yesterday and no one can change my opinion , " said Guardiola as reported by Sky Sports .
" They ( City ) will qualify and will be a formidable opponent in the next round , " he added .
Guardiola also did not forget to give praise to his team which played brilliantly against City . The Spaniard was lucky to be able to handle the great players with Bayern Munich .
